Employers payroll : Service details

What is included in our payroll service for level 1

Payslips

Our standard blue payslips (with file copy if required) posted to you on the day of processing. Have a look at our regular and security payslips by clicking the link in Related pages.

Reports

Summary of the period's payments and a year to date summary, either by department or the company as a whole or custom designed reports to suit your requirements.

Setup

Set-up of new employees or transferring an existing payroll onto our system.

Leavers

Printed P45's for leavers. We will also send or transmit the top copy to the Inland Revenue on your behalf.

BACS

If required, help in the setting up of a BACS facility to pay your employees. The transmission of the payments is a chargeable item.

Payment analysis

Provide you with coin, cheque or BACS analysis for each payment period if required.

Payments and deductions

Statutory Sick Pay including recovery, Statutory Maternity, Adoption and Paternity Pay including recovery, compensation and funding, Student Loans, attachments, Company or Stakeholder Pension calculations and deductions and any other payments or deductions associated with each employee's remuneration.

Pay types

Variable hours, rates, commissions, bonuses, deductions, special payments etc.

Holidays

Calculate holiday pay based on either contractual or averaged earnings.

PAYE

Administer your monthly or quarterly PAYE scheme liability.

  • Advise you of the period's liability including a breakdown
  • On receipt of your cheque, process the payment for you
  • Provide a liabilities and payments history if required
  • Providing we administer your payments and have received the authority to do so we will liaise with the HM Revenue and Customs regarding PAYE matters
  • Use our address for any HMRC correspondence or become your agent. This will reduce your mail and help us to provide a more streamlined service to you

Year end

Administer your 'End of Year'.

  • Print and send to you P14 and P60 forms for all your qualifying employees (no P14’s if we electronically submit the year end forms to HMRC)
  • Print and send to you P60's for all your employees
  • Calculate your 'Employers Annual Return' (P35 and P35(cs)) including, if required, the supplementary return for employees earning under the taxable limit based upon payments recorded and processed by us through the year
  • Electronic submission of P35 & P14's for employers classed as medium or large

Form submission

Electronic submission of 'in year' Inland Revenue forms if authorised to do so.

Regulation changes

Keep you up to date with any regulation changes that are relevant to you and advise you of any compliance issues regarding your payroll or employees. Please note that we are not employment law legal advisors.

Agency liaison

Liaise with the HM Revenue & Customs and other agencies with regard to payroll matters including, where appropriate, completion of HMRC or other agencies forms should you wish us to do so. We will need a special form to be completed to give us the authority to speak to HMRC on your behalf called a 64-8.

Delivery by email of up to 5 reports in PDF format and up to 2 reports in CSV format.

Authorisation

Prior to finalising following receipt of your initial pay data we will email the completed payroll to you for you to either authorise us to finalise or send us further pay data for inclusion before finalising.

 

What's not included or is optional

  • Security payslips (Chargeable option)
  • Duplicates of previous forms, reports or payslips (Chargeable)
  • Individual delivery of payslips, P45's or P60's to employees (Chargeable option)
  • Emailed reports and payslips for service level 1
  • Completion of a paper P35
  • Electronic transmission of BACS payments (Chargeable option)
  • Electronic submission of in year and year end forms to HMRC when it is not a mandatory requirement (Chargeable option)
