Our 0333 local rate numberA little about 0333 numbers and why we use them Local rate definition The term 'local rate' or 'LoCall' refer to the cost of the call being charged at no more than the cost of an undiscounted BT landline local call. There are generally two types of local rate numbers 03xx (0345, 0333 etc) and 0845. We use an 0333 number because your call will be included in your 'inclusive minutes' mobile or landline deal unlike an 0845 number. A call to our 0333 number once you have used your free minutes or from a landline will cost you no more than you would pay for a none discounted BT landline call placed to someone within your local telephone area. Mobile calls to 0333 numbers Calls to our 0333 number will be included within your free minute deal and you will not be charged. Once you have used your free minutes then the call will cost no more than it would for you to call a local number from a none discounted BT landline call. By law your mobile operator has to charge any minutes outside of your free minute packe at no more than the local rate which you should be able to confirm this via their web site. Landline calls to 0333 numbers Your landline provider has to, by law, charge calls to 0333 numbers at the same rate, regardless of your localtion within the UK, as if you were calling a local number from a none discounted BT landline. Calls made to 0333 numbers are also included in any free minute deals you have on your landline. Why we use 0333 numbers Many of our customers call from mobiles and these (03 generation numbers) are the only none geographical numbers that are included within the free minutes packages or are only charged at a local call rate if the minutes have been used up or from a landline. We have to pay for this service but we feel it is important to give our customers the best service with as little cost to them. |
